Short-term or continuous travel insurance?

If you go on holiday, it may be wise to take out travel insurance. The cancellation insurance is not a luxury. But what insurance you choose: a short-term or ongoing? And what can actually be covered under travel insurance?
                                         
 
What is Travel Insurance?
Travel insurance is a damage insurance, which complements existing insurance such as health insurance and contents insurance. The travel insurance covers only the costs that other insurance did not cover.
 
There are two types of travel insurance: short-term and continuous travel insurance. But for you there is one exit, it is smart to ask yourself whether you have travel insurance needs.
 
Short-term insurance
Short-term travel insurance is also called “descending travel insurance”. With a one-time, short-term travel insurance are insured. So if you go on holiday once a year, which is the cheapest option. You can close this insurance before your departure.
 
Continuous travel insurance
